A mature nine hole course awaits you with water hazards, bunkers, dykes and plenty of out of bounds. The course is a par 70 and has a length of 5548 yards.

A lot of work has been done to make Kirton Holme into a very nice course with excellent greens all year round.

Hole 1 and 10     Par 4     274 yards    269 yards    253 yards

The first hole on the course is the only one with two greens. You first play the green on the left and on your second nine the green on the right is used. Both greens are guarded with with trees and bunkers.

Hole 2 and 11     Par 4     386 yards    374 yards    334 yards

This hole is a dogleg left where a good tee-shot is required to reach the green in two.

The danger with taking the driver of the tee is reaching the out of bounds on the left hand side. Playing a tee shot to the right side of the fairway is your best option. This leaves a second shot of 150 to 160 yards into the green. The green has a small bunker on the right and a larger one on the left.

Hole 3 and 12     Par 3     175 yards    154 yards    136 yards

The whole of the left hand side on this hole is out of bounds. There is a small bunker in the middle of the fairway to collect a bad tee shot. The green is surrounded by 3 bunkers.

Hole 4 and 13     Par 4     324 yards    314 yards    266 yards

This hole is a dogleg left, where you need to hit a tee shot long enough to be able to see the green.

If you do find the middle of the fairway, you will have a second shot of 80 to 90 yards to the centre of the green. The only bunker on this hole is to the right of the green.

Hole 6 and 15     Par 3     206 yards    185 yards    142 yards

This par 3 has an internal out of bounds on the left hand side. This hole has a big green which slopes from left to right. In the run up to the green is a hidden bunker to collect a badly struck tee shot. A tricky bunker is positioned to the right of the green.

Hole 7 and 16     Par 5     544 yards    535 yards    484 yards

This hole is a long par 5 where the prevailing wind will blow towards the fields on the left. If your tee shot goes left and doesn't get stopped by the trees it will end up out of bounds. You will need three good shots to get on the green in regulation. The green has one bunker to the left and a low bank round the back.

Hole 8 and 17     Par 4     353 yards    341 yards    309 yards

This hole has a pond each side of the fairway to collect your tee shot. A lay up short of the two ponds will leave you with a second shot of 130 to 140 yards. The green has one bunker on the right and is surrounded by trees.

Hole 9 and 18     Par 4     320 yards    313 yards    287 yards

With a long drive on this hole you will be able to play a shorter iron into the green to ensure that your ball will pitch and stop. This tricky green has a pond and bunker at the front and a bunker at the back.

Hole 5 and 14     Par 4     302 yards    289 yards    260 yards

This hole has an internal out of bounds, which runs on the left hand side all the way to the green.

A precise tee shot is wanted on this hole, where a pond is located in the middle of the fairway with a dyke on the left hand side. The dyke is a lateral water hazard. A good drive over the pond will reward you with a short pitch into the green. The green has 2 bunkers at the front.
